We have a special offer for bachelor and master students and PhD students. Members up to the age of 29 also benefit from an age-dependent discount, as you can see in the membership fee overview. In addition, we have a few other specific discount schemes that you may be able to take advantage of.
● Student discount 24+
Are you a full-time student and over 24 years old? Then you can take advantage of the lowest regular KNCV membership fee. You will then receive a 75% discount. To do so, you must send us proof of enrollment (stating the academic year). This discount is valid as long as you are studying full-time, but must be reapplied for each year.
Are you already a member and would you like to take advantage of this scheme? Then you must submit an application via the above email address no later than 1 month after receiving the membership invoice.
● Housemate membership
Are you a KNCV member and do you live at the same address as another paying KNCV member? Then you can apply for housemate membership. As a housemate member, you will receive a 65% discount on the regular membership fee. You will no longer receive C2W. The discount will be applied to the highest membership fee.
● Discount for teachers and TOAs
We want to support teachers (and trainee teachers) and TOAs. The KNCV wants to raise the profile of chemistry and chemists, and that starts at school. That is why they receive a substantial discount on the KNCV membership fee as long as they are a teacher (or TOA). From the age of 27, the discount on the membership fee is 50%.
The various discount schemes cannot be combined. To claim one of these three discount schemes, you must send an email to ledenadministratie@kncv.nl after you have registered as a member.
