Work experience
After (or actually even during) my Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, it was immediately clear to me that my ambition did not lie in research. Consequently, after completing my studies, I started working at the KNCV as a Project Manager for Labor Market & Education. In this role, I was responsible for various projects in these areas, such as the career afternoon for PhD students. I also set up and organized the inaugural Carbon Master Day.
Since May 2016, I have been working at TMC as an Account Manager (Chemical). At TMC, we hire people on a permanent basis and then seek out interesting projects for them. My responsibilities include recruitment, matching candidates with our client companies, managing client relationships, acquiring new clients, and staying in touch with our employees while they are on assignment. It is a highly enjoyable and dynamic role that provides me with great insight into the labor market. Insights I can put to excellent use in my work as a career coach!
