Analytical Chemistry (PhD)
Work experience
After completing my studies (chemistry, teaching qualification, and interpreter/translator training) in Hungary, I conducted doctoral research at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the US. Upon my return, I was active as a project leader and manager at applied research organizations (the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands and TNO); subsequently, I worked at the University of Twente, focusing on lab-on-a-chip development and teaching, and serving as a co-author and editor of a textbook. During that period, I chaired the Analytical Chemistry Section of the KNCV and served on the editorial board of *C2W*.
Ten years ago, I began working for Shell in various roles ranging from R&D (biofuels) and strategy to line management. I have just returned from India, where I spent three years leading a team at our newest research center. At Shell, I have organized mentoring programs for groups and also regularly serve as a mentor to individual colleagues.
